🐾 National Dog Walker Day: Fee-Waived Adoptions – Monday, September 8th 🐾

Fayette Friends of Animals is celebrating our amazing volunteers on National Dog Walker Day with special Fee-Waived Adoption Event in honor of all their hard work, for select pups, made possible thanks to a generous grant from the ASPCA.

Event Details

📅 Adoption Day: Monday, September 8th
⏰ Time: 12 PM – 5 PM
📍 Location: Fayette Friends of Animals

Dogs eligible for this event will meet the following criteria:

• Are spayed/neutered and ready to go to their forever homes

• Have been at the shelter 90 days or longer and

• Are 6 months of age or older

​

How to Apply

• Submit an adoption application between Friday, September 5th and Monday, September 8th

• Application must include the name of an eligible dog

• Add a note to your application:

  “Interested in fee-waived adoption event”

• Be prepared for same-day approval

 

Requirements for Same-Day Approval

• If you rent your home:
  Provide a letter from your landlord or a lease stating you’re allowed to have dogs.
  Send to info@ffoashelter.org or bring to the shelter.

• If you’ve had pets in the past 5 years:
  Provide vet records, including proof of spay/neuter and vaccinations.
  Email records to info@ffoashelter.org.

 

Finalizing the Adoption

• You must come to the shelter on Tuesday, August 26th between 12–5 PM to finalize the adoption and take your dog home.

• In cases of multiple applications for the same dog, adoptions will be approved on a first-come, first-served basis.

• FFOA reserves the right to use additional screening to approve applications.
